Always online
Always Online is the offering of an Internet service that is always available. A malfunction at one of the carriers does not have a negative effect on your organization.
Connections with the same subnet
Available in 2 types of configurations
Systemec's "Always Online" service provides redundant provision of an IP service over a minimum of 2 separate connections (e.g. fiber and DSL), with the secondary connection automatically taking over the IP service in the event of a breakdown of communication over the primary connection.
Specifications
Systemec's redundant backbone is built based on OSPF routing and provides dynamic routing of IP subnets according to different priorities. The Always Online service also uses DVSR, which means that Systemec's backbone routers continuously monitor whether the relevant routers are accessible at the contractor's location (icmp-echo/ping).
Upon delivery, an own timing profile is determined in consultation with the client. At least one ping is sent every 10 seconds, with which the communication status of the connections is determined (re-routing at 1 ping down and re-routing at 1 ping up). Systemec manages the routers at the location(s). These routers "learn" the required routes among themselves based on the RIPv2 protocol.
The Systemec Always Online service is available in 2 types of configurations:
1. Active/Passive;
2. Active/Active.
We have delivered this service to Europa Apotheek Venlo, one of the largest online pharmacies.
