Online backup
The Systemec Online Backup and S3 Cloud Storage provide a secure backup, where the data is stored redundantly in our datacenters.
There are several ways to perform a backup online, but since the introduction of the AVG legislation, you as an entrepreneur must be able to prove where your data is stored.
Online Backup
Our backup software automatically creates backups without you having to take any manual action. Whether it's a backup of a workstation, server or cloud services.
Systemec Online backup is suitable for:
- Microsoft Windows;
- Microsoft Exchange;
- Microsoft SQL;
- Microsoft Hyper-V;
- Microsoft Office365;
- VMware ESXi;
- Mac;
- Linux;
- NAS (via UNC paths);
- Mobile devices based on Android and iOS (iPhone).
Pre and post scripts are adjustable, just like file filters. Access to the data is possible via a secure web portal.
Systemec Online Backup is based on the Acronis Cyber Backup Cloud platform, which means that the data is stored in our own datacenters. The backup is automatic and can be performed several times a day and is also redundantly stored at multiple locations. You will receive a status message by e-mail from each backup task.
Schedule & Monitoring
A backup can easily be set up with a customized schedule: Monthly, Weekly, Daily, every hour, or a combination of these. The first backup is a full backup, the subsequent backups are incremental, so they take considerably less time.
File filters are used to define which files and folders will be skipped during the backup process. File filters are available for disk level backups and file level backups.
The status and history of backup jobs can be viewed via the secure web portal. Also an e-mail is sent.
Storage time
The retention time of a backup is easy to set. Per backup task this can be set based on the following 3 possibilities:
- Age of the backup;
- Number of backups to save;
- Undetermined storage time.
S3 Cloud Storage
Do you need a local NAS or some other way of archiving storage? Then S3 Cloud Storage is a suitable solution. Through third-party clients like Cloudberry Drive, it is easily possible to link these buckets (storage) within your Windows or Mac environment.
This archiving storage method is an inexpensive way to store data externally and can be a building block for your own backup plan.
