virtual server
Systemec offers fully customizable virtual servers from their own cloud. The cloud hosting is based on a VMware vSphere Enterprise platform, which is divided among the several datacenters from Systemec.

VMWare vSphere Enterprise
The cloud server can be composed flexibly, whereby vCPUs, memory, data storage, backup, monitoring and data traffic can be fully customized. Systemec can also take care of the operational management of the virtual server, including licenses.
Specifications
The virtual servers are hosted in a VMware vSphere Enterprise cluster. The most important features are:
- Own dedicated CPU, memory and disk space (SAN);
- High-Availability (HA) cluster;
- vMotion and Distributed Resources Scheduler (DRS) active;
- Data storage on an enterprise SAN, see Backup tab;
- Access via web portal;
- Includes NSX Edge firewall by default;
- Hosting in a TIER3+ Systemec datacenter in the Netherlands or Germany;
- 24*7 support via the Systemec helpdesk.
Software
The virtual server can optionally also be supplied with an operating system and other additional software, such as:
- Microsoft Windows 20012R2, 2016 or 2019;
- Microsoft SQL (all recent versions);
- Debian Linux.
The Microsoft licenses are provided on the basis of the SPLA model, with the license fee included in the monthly subscription fee based on actual usage.
Backup
By default, the data is stored on a redundant SAN. The backup of the data can be customized using a mix of snapshots, mirrors and images.
Snapshots
By default, a snapshot is taken every 2 hours. This snapshot backup is stored for 5 days.
Mirror
Systemec goes for high security and availability. This is why the data on the SAN STANDARD is mirrored to a backup SAN in Systemec's 2nd datacenter.
Low term backup
In addition to SAN backups via snapshots and mirror, we also offer long-term backup. This backup data is also stored redundantly across the various datacenters.
Monitoring and security
Optionally, the VM can be expanded with security modules, such as a virtual Sophos firewall and endpoint protection. It is also possible to purchase these bundled together, including updates to the underlying operating system.
Systemec offers extensive monitoring of the virtual server, so that a notification is immediately sent by e-mail and/or SMS in the event of an abnormal value. The monitoring of the virtual server will be customized, with 10 sensors included. Historical values can be consulted via a web interface, where reports can also be customized.
